Environmental, Health and Safety and Radiation Safety
Analysis of the EHS and Radiation Safety measures, systems and procedures within the pillars
Definition of effective safety procedures and their implementation is a critical issue for the future operations. This Work Package will exploit the knowledge already gained in this area by each Pillar, where safety-related topics are already being discussed and dealt with. The goal of the Work Package is to establish a common safety culture, to standardize procedures for handling common problems, and to provide a general policy for the development of guidelines dedicated to specific safety areas. The work will be carried out in synergy with the activities at the local level, which concern in particular further development and implementations of specific safety area guidelines.
The main identified objectives of Work Package 7 are:
- Establishment and implementation of robust EHS, and Radiation Safety management system.
- Design of general policies for the development of guidelines and procedures specific to the high-power laser based facilities.
- Development and implementation of user safety programme.
